Can you imagine your childhood without your favorite story books?
I’m sure already the characters and titles of your favourites are coming to mind. For the vast majority of Cambodian children story books don’t exist. They have never had the chance to escape into the pages of their favourite book, explore enchanted lands or discover new places. Our Kompheim Village school library opened its doors in 2015. It is home to hundreds of books both in Khmer and English language.
The library was supported by a number of amazing people but without the amazing generosity of the Fitzgerald family the library would never have gotten off the ground.

How Our Library Works
We absolutely love our school library and we are continually working to add quality books to our collection. Students are able to read books at school, or borrow books to take home and share with their families.
Tookies Library
For most Cambodian children the thought of accessing a library is unheard of. Our library has opened up a world of education, fun and adventure for our students and their families. With a wide range of books in both English & Khmer our library is expanding our students horizons.
Quality Books
We are always working to add amazing books to our library, slowly more and more quality Khmer language books are becoming available, printers like SIPAR are brining a wide range of local language books. English language books including "Early Readers, Scholastic, and other educational books are always gratefully received.
Mobile Libraries
Helping make books and reading a part of daily life is a goal we are constantly working to achieve. Our teachers love visiting local communities and sharing the value of books with families. We are working hard to have sufficient books to supply our school library as well as our mobile library visits enabling families to borrow and return books with us.
