One of the sad outcomes of a 3rd World country struggling to develop is the destruction to flora and fauna. According to a 2005 report by the Food and Agriculture department of the United Nations, Cambodia had the 3rd highest rate of deforestation in the world.

In mid 2009 we commenced our Tree Planting program in Treak Village. Our initial focus is on providing fruit trees for village families. These trees provide a number of benefits. In addition to being great for the environment they provide villagers with a potential food and income source. Over 100 fruit trees have been planted in 2009. (Mango and Sapadilla)

2010

Our goal for 2010 is to plant over 500 fruit trees in Treak Village and commence a fruit tree program in Kompheim village. We also will commence a focused education program which will help educate families on the need to protect and preserve trees.
