Composting Toilets in Siem Reap

In May 2011 Hilary from Composting Toilets International worked with HUSK to build four additional composting toilets in Treak Village.
Many of the villagers in Cambodia do not have access to a toilet and the lack of proper hygiene facilities leads to the spread of preventable disease. Composting toilets assist villagers by providing a safe and hygienic toilet made with local materials. By improving basic sanitation within the village the spread of disease is reduced and water quality improved.
