Vorn's house was the third to be built in our program of work.  Our goal was to rebuild a simple local styled home in keeping with the first two projects.

Prior to commencing work on Vorn's home our team provided the funding and some of the labour to plant Vorn's field with rice seedlings.  This was completed in August.  We also provided some fruit trees and lemongrass to help establish a kitchen garden.

By early September Vorn's family were settled in their new house and the fruit trees we planted were already starting to establish themselves.

26.11.2010 - Update

We are pleased to report that Vorn's rice was harvested recently on one of the Day in a Life Tours, she received 42kilos of rice from her crop.  Currently her field is still very wet, however as soon as it dries we will help her to plant a short term crop which will be used to help feed her family and provide additional income.
